A fantastic addition to the Vodex dust extraction range is the NEW DP400 which unlike the previous DP400, with just an F8 high capacity bag filter, this new unit also includes a 99.997% HEPA filter (efficient down to 0.3 microns).
The way our bodies’ respiratory system responds to inhaled particles depends very much on where the particles settle. An inflammation of the mucous membranes can occur if any irritant dust settles in the nose leading to rhinitis. However, if the particle attacks the larger air passages, inflammation of the trachea (tracheitis) or the bronchi (bronchitis) may be seen. The most significant reactions of the lung occur in the deepest parts of this organ. Particles that escape settling in the nose or throat tend to sit in the small sacs or close to the end of the airways, but if the amount of dust is large, the macrophage system may fail. Dust particles and dust-containing macrophages collect in the lung tissues, causing serious injury to the lungs. An efficient method of protecting the inhalation is by installing a proper dust extraction system such as the new DP400!
