Printing & 3D Printing
Printing inks, lacquers, adhesives, cleaning solvents can pose a risk to your health. Some products can cause asthma (e.g. UV inks, laminating adhesives), solvent vapours can make you dizzy, drowsy, affect your central nervous system and can cause damage to internal organs over long periods of exposure. Corrosive acids and alkalis can cause skin burns and eye damage (e.g. plate developers). Many 3D printers also produce ultra-fine emissions which can also pose a health risk.
Some 3D printers use ABS filaments which are considered more risky to health than PLA filaments. Nylon filaments can also emit a water-soluble compound used to produce a type of nylon, which can lead to irritation to the eyes and respiratory system and long term, may cause problems to the central nervous system.
Our range of extractors for 3D printing will help protect you from these dangers. Contact us for free advice or more information.
