Datasheet:
The VODEX ChiroPOD® CP1001 has been specially designed for the chiropody/podiatry industry to extract and remove harmful vapours and airborne dust generated within clinical environments.
Dust collected during foot care procedures have been found to contain keratin, keratin hydrolysates, microbial debris and viable fungal elements, including dermatophytes and saprophytes. With all these waste products resulting in airborne dust, it is extremely important to extract them and dispose of them using fit-for-purpose extraction technology.
Grinding dust from orthotics or adhesive fumes from insole or heel building can also be removed with the right choice of filtration.
VODEX are both reputable and recommended as Fume & Dust Extraction Providers to many NHS Trusts and Training Colleges within the UK.
The ideal solution for your professional environment, the CP1001 filter system will fit easily into any clinic space, without the need to replace existing furniture.

Clinical Feedback:
One of our clinicians remarked that the air seemed much cleaner and fresher in the clinic after one day of use.
Patient A remarked that she often worried for the clinicians due to the amount of dust she could see coming off her feet during treatment, and that she felt quite relieved that we were using an extractor.
Many patients were surprised at how quiet and unobtrusive the extractor is.
Several patients said it seemed more hygienic.
At one point during treatment both clinician and patient could see a large stream of dust entering the funnel head; I wish we had caught it on camera.
My own thoughts – this is a wonderful piece of equipment, nail dust inhalation has been a real worry since starting my degree, during my first year on placement it was a regular enquiry when meeting experienced podiatrists, some used wipes over files, one in particular would wear a mask during an entire clinical session which led me to the question of extractor’s as a further form of protection. I found the extractor easy to assemble, simple to use, surprisingly quiet. It in no way hindered treatment time or patient communication.
