As we got more established and with copyright and trademark infringements appearing in the news on a daily basis; we thought it was about time we registered our logo. Doing so can prevent any unscrupulous characters from copying, replicating, misusing and abusing it… well thats the theory at least!
If you were thinking about getting your logo or company name registered, the process was very painless and simple, but still took the best part of four months to complete. Basically, you send your logo to the Intellectual Property Office, specify which industry sectors you operate in, pay a small admin fee, then they feature it on their website for three months to give anyone who wants to object ample time to do so. At the end of the three months if no objections have been made you’ll get your certificate in no time!
