    The 3D printing process produces a lot of fumes of volatile organic compounds and a large amount of ultra-fine dust particles. Many 3D printers use Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) or Polylactic Acid (PLA) Filaments. Others use nylon filaments. These filaments can release fumes as well as fine dust when they are heated for printing.
