A low cost but very effective way of indicating entry or exit into the EPA area within the electronics manufacturing area. Rigid signs can be fixed to walls or hung from ceilings, and sticky flexible signs can be stuck to doors and windows. Floor marking tape can be used to section off areas where static sensitive components are being handled.
To state the EN61340-5-1 guidelines for ESD Boundaries: Personnel must be able to see signs complying with 61340-5-1 before they enter the EPA. Where appropriate (i.e. in a multistation EPA), compliant signs must also be visible within the EPA, and exit signs should mark the boundary of the EPA. These signs will all comply to the current requirements.
